How to Turn One Webinar Into a Month of Social Posts
You spent weeks preparing that webinar. Here's why hitting 'end meeting' shouldn't be the last thing you do with it.

Most people run a webinar, export the recording, and then... nothing. It sits in a Google Drive folder next to a half-finished ebook from 2021. That recording is worth more than you think.
A one-hour webinar contains enough raw material to feed your social channels for four weeks. You just need a system for breaking it apart.
Start With the Transcript, Not the Video
Before you touch the recording, get a transcript. Tools like Otter.ai or even your video platform's auto-captions will give you a rough one in minutes. Clean it up lightly, then read through it with a highlighter mindset.
You are looking for four types of moments:
- A strong opinion you stated confidently
- A stat or data point you cited
- A short story or example that landed well
- A direct answer to a question an attendee asked
Each of those is a post. A real one, not filler. Not "here are some thoughts on Monday." Actual, specific content that teaches something or makes someone stop scrolling.
A single hour-long webinar will typically contain 8 to 15 of these moments if you look carefully. That is already two to three weeks of content before you have done anything with the video itself.
Now Go Back to the Video
Once you have your text posts mapped out, return to the recording for the visual content layer.
Short-form video is the obvious play here. Pull 60-90 second clips where you explain something clearly, react to a question, or make a point that stands on its own. These become Reels, TikToks, or LinkedIn video posts. Add captions, because most people watch without sound, and the clip is immediately more watchable.
A few things that clip well that people often overlook:
- The moment you answered a tough question live
- A quick framework you drew or walked through on screen
- The first 90 seconds of your intro, if it set up a problem well
- Any moment the audience reacted visibly or you got a surge of chat messages
Beyond clips, pull a few strong quotes as static graphics. One sentence, clean background, your name on it. Simple. These take five minutes to make in Canva and routinely outperform more polished content.
For the written side, those highlighted transcript moments become LinkedIn posts, X threads, or newsletter sections. A single strong opinion from your webinar can be a 200-word standalone post with zero editing required beyond cleaning up the spoken-word phrasing.
The Calendar Math
Here is what a realistic month looks like from one webinar:
- 4 short video clips, one per week
- 8 text posts from transcript highlights, two per week
- 4 quote graphics, one per week
- 1 newsletter section or blog post using the transcript as a draft
- 1 audiogram or b-roll clip for variety
That is 18 pieces of content from a single recording. You are not manufacturing content for the sake of it. You are just distributing something you already made, to people who were not in the room.
This is exactly what ReelCast is built to do. Drop your webinar recording in, and it pulls out the clips, captions them, and builds a two-week posting schedule automatically. The system above is the manual version. ReelCast handles the mechanical work so you can spend your time on the parts that actually need your judgment.
