How to Turn One Webinar Into a Month of Social Posts

You already did the hard work. Here's why most creators leave 90% of that value sitting on a Google Drive.

Most people host a webinar, send the replay link to their email list, and move on. A month later they're staring at a blank content calendar wondering what to post. That's a painful irony, because a single 60-minute webinar contains more raw content than most creators produce in a quarter.

The problem is not effort. It's extraction. You need a system for pulling the good stuff out before the recording collects digital dust.

Start With a Simple Content Audit

Before you touch any editing tool, watch your webinar with a notepad and mark the moments worth keeping. You're looking for four types of content:

  • Hot takes. Any opinion you stated that someone might push back on.
  • Practical steps. A process, checklist, or framework you walked through.
  • Quotable moments. A sentence that would land well standing alone, out of context.
  • Questions from the audience. These are often better than the presentation itself.

A typical one-hour webinar will give you 15 to 25 of these moments. That is your raw material.

Map Those Moments to Formats

Now match each moment to the format that fits it best. This is where most repurposing advice falls apart, because people treat all clips the same. They don't work the same way.

A hot take becomes a short-form video or a punchy Twitter-style post. A framework becomes a carousel or a text thread. A strong audience question becomes a standalone post where you open with the question and answer it directly. A quotable line becomes a caption that needs almost no editing.

Here's a rough breakdown for one webinar:

  • 6 to 8 short video clips (under 90 seconds each) for Reels, Shorts, or TikTok
  • 4 carousel posts built from the frameworks or step-by-step sections
  • 6 to 10 single-image quote cards
  • 3 to 5 longer text posts expanding on individual points
  • 1 blog post or newsletter using the full arc of the webinar as an outline

That is a full month of content, minimum, from one recording. You did not create anything new. You just packaged what was already there.

The Part People Skip

The trap is spending all your time in the planning phase and none of it in production. Content calendars feel productive. Actually clipping and captioning video feels tedious. So people plan and then stall.

The shortcut is to handle the video clips first, because they do the most work on social. A well-captioned 60-second clip builds trust faster than almost any static post. Captions matter more than most people expect since a large share of video on social platforms plays without sound. If your captions are missing or sloppy, you lose that audience entirely.

Batch the clips in one focused session. Write the captions at the same time. Schedule everything before you let yourself move on to the next project.

This is exactly what ReelCast is built to handle. You drop in your webinar recording, and it pulls out the strongest clips, adds captions automatically, and maps everything into a two-week posting schedule. The audit and extraction work happens without you doing it manually. You still decide what goes out and when, but you skip the part that makes most people give up.

One webinar. One session. A full month of content that actually gets published.
